This etching shows a Christmas Market in Germany, grey skies, snow covered ground, a horse drawn wagon passing, laden with packages, and a Christmas tree. A man walks behind the wagon, and he is hauling another large Christmas tree under one arm and a bucket full of chestnuts(?) in the other.
Paul Geissler, 1881-1965, was a German artist who worked in Europe, and the United States, and was well known for his etchings and engravings.
