A proof before the edition of about 25 for the WPA depicts a scene from the 1936 Republican Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.
William Leroy Flint (1909 - 1991). One of Ohio's finest painters and printmakers of the twentieth century, W. Leroy Flint attended the Cleveland School of Art from 1932 to 1936. After graduation he worked for the Cleveland Chapter of the Works Progress Administration and completed commissioned murals, etchings, aquatints, lithographs and adult education projects.
