Large thrown plate with carvings and surface decorations. Wadding marks on the rear. Believed to be Cone 6 stoneware, as this is how many of his other pieces are fired. The item was sold as a second.

A local from Georgia, Brandon Bishop received his BFA in Ceramics from the University of Georgia. His pots focus on establishing order, pattern, and repetition through scoring and marking. He ruminates on structure and form through gestural stream of consciousness drawings that emerge as pictorial portraits, past experiences, relationships, and notional scribbles. The important part of the work is to manifest his experience in the sincerest way as possible, to create a relationship with not just the pot itself, but with the person who may be holding it.
