Sometimes, a drawing happens in this very fluid way. I’ll have drawn the same elements in different configurations a dozen times and then one day, it just works in a way that feels done. This piece came out of thinking about grass as ocean, thinking of houses swimming or walking through fields that swirled. When I was young, I could walk through tall grass and be held by it. I like the idea of a house that is barely touching the ground, that acts like a guest, and which itself is in the process of growing and being formed.
