A group of artists were invited to sketch a live rehearsal by the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra and then create a larger more formal work to be juried for an exhibition in the lobby of Powell Hall during a 2015 weekend performance of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. I sent a photo of myself wearing a black velvet sport coat next to my painting to my aunt that I captioned "all the way from dusty Oklahoma to Powell Hall." She always addressed me after that as the dusty Oklahoman.
