Joyful, gorgeous and deliciously medicinal, bee balm is easy to grow and tenaciously perennial, also known as monarda or wild bergamot. I tried to capture this scene painting en plein air with bright colors and bold brushstrokes at Shaw Nature Reserve near Gray Summit, Missouri.
