I have a small collection of advertising art, magazine covers, and calendar art that feature artists from the "golden age" of illustration. I recently noticed that a 1920 ad for Pierce Arrow featured a background painting that was very similar to a plein air work I completed at Cliff Cave Park in St. Louis County in 2016. I couldn't resist reworking my old painting as an homage to Cecil Chichester, an American landscapist, floral painter and illustrator. Price includes gallery frame, white.
