I was so tired after the previous day of walking 14,000 steps in sand in both Monument Valley and the slot canyon in Page, Arizona, I forewent my sunrise view of the Grand Canyon and after 45 minutes on a Tuesday workday waiting in line to enter I didn't call myself out on reaching the Canyon at noon. I had to recalculate which of the many points would give me the light I needed, but I had done my research in advance of the many points so it was an easy switch.
It wasn't until I was processing the Raw file of this photo that I noticed nature's monument of stones in the way of people hiking various places.
