These paintings are inspired by the movement of water falling at 7 different dam sites along the Blackstone River. This river runs from Worcester, MA to Pawtucket, RI and in the 1990s was the most polluted river in the United States because of its industrial textile history. I collected so-called "invasive" plants to use as the paper fiber. Blackstone River Suite acts as a type of taxonomy of the sites and the installation Ebb and Flow V.
