El Borracho IV

Borracho IV. Carved wood painted with acrylics. Made as part of the artists' Face to Face in a Frenzy performances, worn by artist. Carved in a Balinese style with very thin slits in eyes for the performer tosee through.

Half mask of male figure. Carved eyebrows painted black with carved hairlines painted with blue accents. Eye painted an eggshell white with hazel irises. Large nose with high sculpted cheeks, left cheek has two painted little brown moles. Full, thick mustache is carved from side to side of mask with little curls on the ends by the edges of the mask. Painted black, with brown and blue accents and carved with hairlines.
