Calaca #9. Full face mask used in performances by Arizona theater and dance companies. It is made of plaster bandage and paper clay, painted with acrylic paints and ribbon, which ties the mask to the performer.
These masks are part of the Performance Collection, which contains pieces available for loan to use in community and artistic performances.
It has a red arrow-shaped design on the forehead with blue gems at the center. Underneath it is a large V-shaped squared design in green. The eyes are encircled in light blue, and the cheeks have circular green swirls above V-shaped red swirls. The nose is a light purple, and the teeth are outlined in pink. The chin has a red circular design with a large blue dot at the center.
