Borracho I. Half mask. Carved wood painted with acrylics. Part of the Face to Face in a Frenzy performances, worn by artist. Carved in a Balinese style with very thin slits in eyes for the performer tosee through.
Face has a surprised expression with wide open eyes. Raised eyebrows carved above the eyes with little points of hair on top and carved with hair lines, painted black with blue accent lines. Eyes are painted an eggshell white with hazel colored irises. Large protruding nose takes up most of the middle of the mask. Black painted mustache with carved hair lines extends from one side to the other side of the mask. A scroll design starts the mustache on the sides of the mask by the temples. Upper lip is hidden by mustache and painted rose colored. Six white teeth protrude from lip with very long pointy incisors on each side.
