Funny Face Series created as an addition to the Mercado Collection, available for purchase. Artist, Zarco Guerrero created these masks to add more variety at festivals. After realizing the large number of aggressive-faced masks he produced, he decided it was time to lighten the air with two new series of masks; the 2024 Sonrisa & Funny Face Series. By creating the new mask series, the artist payed tribute to traditional themes used in Mexican art and provided a special element of humor and cheerfulness displayed for festivals and the mercado.

Tan skin tone base. Large ears that stick out. Round eyes painted brown with eye visible eye whites. Pupils carved out. Large eyelids with a line carved on the middle. Sharp nose tip with pink blush splotch. Small smile with two visible teeth on the top row. Tooth gap between the teeth. Wrinkles throughout the face. Chin dimple.
