Mary Kamerer Impressionist Painting
Cypresses in Blue by Mary Kamerer Impressionist Painting Image: When I do a large painting , especially one this size, I try to immerse myself in it mentally. I want to paint something where I can place myself, and it will give me a feeling of peace and calm. I feel that we lead such a busy, chaotic lives at times, and our home should be a respite where we can take a deep breath and get away. If a painting can allow you to do that, then I feel I’ve completed my purpose. This painting, in soft shades of blues and browns, can take you to a calm place where you might hear frogs croaking, birds chirping, and water rustling. All of that, and the soothing tones of color, can give someone moments of restful relaxation.
