"Dry Falls Wonder" is a 24" x 18" pastel painting done on an Ampersand Pastelbord. The scene is from a photo I took at Dry Falls in North Carolina. The waterfall is wonderful and easy to get to from the main road heading from Tennessee toward Cashiers, NC. It is unique for the walkway you can walk behind the falls. When I was painting, I decided to put the rail and a few people in the scene which is not something you see on first glance. I loved the fact maybe later you say "Wow, I didn't see those people." I think they give a scale to the size of the waterfall. I've always enjoyed visiting waterfalls. They make me happy. So, it is no surprise that I also love to paint them.
