Mid-century googie style architecture and neon sign for this 1932 built Route 66 motel, gas station and cafe in Amboy CA. The mid-century neon sign and googie style office building were added in the 1950's.
Now the cafe and motel are closed to the general public because of the lack of a fresh water supply in this area of the Mojave desert but the gas station is still open and packaged snacks can be had in the cafe.
