An art deco masterpiece the Majestic Crest Theatre opened in 1940 as the UCLAN and was used as a live theatre, it became one of the crown jewels in the Pacific Theatre chain which formerly operated it and In May of 2008, the Majestic Crest was designated an Historic-Cultural Monument by the City of Los Angeles. And now this perfectly restored theatre is for sale and hopefully won't go dark like so many of the truly beautiful single screen theatre's in the Los Angeles area. Sadly like many single screen theaters it is now closed.
