This is an oil painting on a 12" x 12" wood panel of the small container next to my kitchen sink in which I place food scraps before taking them out to my compost bin by my garden. The container includes a banana peel and a piece of carrot. The container is seen behind a glass but in front of cylinders for holding utensils. The image is painted on the front of the panel while the sides, 1.5" deep, are left as natural wood.
