This is an oil painting on 16" x 8" wood panel of the small container next to my kitchen sink in which I place food scraps before taking them out to my compost bin by my garden. This painting includes egg shells, broccoli stems, and a very brown banana peel. The container sits on the counter top next to a bottle of dish soap and a plate, bowl and fork waiting to be washed. The image is painted on the front of the panel while the sides, 1" deep, are left as natural wood.
