Due to climate change and other factors that directly affect our planet, this painting by Marcella Hayes Muhammad serves as a visual statement on the need for better conservation. The left side of Earth is vibrant, while the right side is tainted by neglect, drought, and disease spreading outward. This is our only home in the Milky Way, and the masks, representing the ancestors, are watching to see which way it will go. This painting is part of a conservation series.
