Martin Halpin (Mandara)

Wood • Flower • Resin

An Exhibition by Mandara at Shangri-La Chiang Mai - October 1 – November 23, 2025

Wood • Flower • Resin

Curated in support of breast cancer awareness, Wood • Flower • Resin brings the artistry of Mandara into the heart of Shangri-La Chiang Mai.

The exhibition presents wall art pieces that fuse reclaimed wood, botanical inlays, and art resin, each inspired by Japanese design philosophies such as Wabi Sabi and Kintsugi. Every work is a meditation on memory, imperfection, and beauty—transforming salvaged natural materials into timeless artworks.

Mandara’s art is both functional and poetic: while this collection focuses on wall pieces, each design can also be translated into custom commissions such as tables or consoles on request. In every form, the work remains a story captured in wood and resin. The floral mosaics within the resin preserve delicate, ephemeral moments of nature—petals, stems, and blooms suspended in time.

Artist in Residence: Martin Halpin

Available daily from 17:30 – 19:30 in the Lobby Atrium, Martin shares the stories, processes, and inspirations behind the collection. Guests are warmly invited to engage with the artist, discover the philosophy behind the pieces, and perhaps find one that speaks to their own journey.

💗 Giving Back

In alignment with the exhibition’s purpose, 10% of the value of each piece sold will be donated to the Suandok Breast Cancer Support Network, extending the healing power of art into the realm of community care.
