Kaze to Sakura — Wind and Cherry Blossoms (2025-05)

Cherry Blossom Collection — First Edition

Kaze to Sakura
is a collection suspended between stillness and motion — where blossoms drift, fall, or cling, each caught in a moment shaped by wind. Inspired by the timeless beauty of Chinese and Japanese sakura art, this limited-edition debut from Mandara captures the poetry of cherry blossoms in transition.

Set against vivid resin backdrops — fiery reds, soft pastels, electric yellows, deep blues, and grounded earth tones — each piece in the collection evokes both the raw energy of nature and the serenity of its passing moods. Delicate botanical inlays are encased in translucent layers of resin, creating a sense of movement held in time.

Crafted from reclaimed Thai redwood and finished by hand, these 14 one-of-a-kind works reflect the emotional terrain between blossoming and letting go. Some pieces feature sparse, contemplative branches. Others are more abundant — lush with petals midair — echoing the unpredictability of spring.

Infused with Wabi-Sabi sensibilities, Kaze to Sakura honors beauty not just in form, but in imperfection, asymmetry, and the quiet grace of impermanence.

As the first in an evolving Mandara theme, this premiere edition sets the tone for future collections to come — seasonal reflections shaped by wood, resin, memory, and bloom.

Mandara × Shangri-La Exclusive Collection

Original Mandara Artwork – Designed and Created in Chiang Mai, Exclusively for Shangri-La

Crafted entirely in Chiang Mai, this exclusive collection celebrates the rare beauty of Thai reclaimed timbers — woods too scarce or irregular for furniture, now reborn as refined, contemplative works of art.

Each piece is made from salvaged wood sourced from forgotten places and past lives, carrying the imprint of time, transformation, and creative renewal.

This collection exists only within Shangri-La Chiang Mai.

It’s a tribute to place, to collaboration, and to the quiet dialogue between nature, craft, and soul.

Many who visit Chiang Mai fall in love with its stillness and spirit. Through this collection, we invite you to take a memory home — a piece of Chiang Mai to hang on your wall and carry with you.

Each piece is one-of-a-kind.

Each piece is born of this place.

SHANGRI-LA Chiang Mai: October - November 2025

Wood • Flower • Resin

An Exhibition by Mandara at Shangri-La Chiang Mai

October 1 – November 23, 2025

Curated in support of breast cancer awareness, Wood • Flower • Resin brings the artistry of Mandara into the heart of Shangri-La Chiang Mai.

Each piece in this collection is meticulously handcrafted from reclaimed wood, botanical inlays, and art resin, inspired by Japanese design philosophies such as Wabi Sabi and Kintsugi. These works invite viewers to contemplate imperfection, memory, and renewal—transforming salvaged natural materials into works of timeless beauty.

Mandara’s art is both functional and poetic: while this collection focuses on wall pieces, each design can also be translated into custom commissions such as tables or consoles on request. In every form, the work remains a story captured in wood and resin. The floral mosaics within the resin preserve delicate, ephemeral moments of nature—petals, stems, and blooms suspended in time.
