SEX IN THE WORLD’S RELIGIONS
2004
The idea of creating objects based upon destroyed books is intriguing. The process of remaking or renovating gives parameters that inspire a new point of view.
I read the book that I chose, “Sex in the World’s Religions” a number of times in order to choose text. I found that each religion that is presented has essentially similar views. They are repressive/restrictive views for humans: the more destructive of these views enclosing the lives of women. This is an odd deduction.
If one’s deity is omniscient and omnipotent then all of their creations are perfect.
Duly inspired I made two works. “Foot Stools for Sex in the World’s Religions” and “NO/ON Sex in the World’s Religions”.
