In October of 2015, we visited Scotland for the first time and stayed two nights in St. Andrews. We stayed in a lovely B&B right across the street from the ruins of St. Andrews castle. This painting was inspired by the experience of braving the chilly damp air to get some lovely resource photographs looking back at St. Andrews Castle.
