During a teaching gig in Southern France, everyone visited several wineries. While the students were tasting, one of my fellow students and I were taking in the beautiful light of a late afternoon. No time to paint on location, but I snapped many photographs for reference, and did my best to remember the way the field was lit. Most impressive to me was the lovely moon showing up in the afternoon.
