This was painted en plein air during a plein air competition in Jefferson, Wisconsin. A beautiful warm sunny summer day. About 20 minutes after completion of this painting, a huge windy thunderstorm blew in! I was so glad to be all packed up because I had walked a ways into this meadow to paint this scene!
