I'm a visual artist and maker living in Northumberland, UK. Drawing and making are a big part of my life and have been a source of contentment for as long as I can remember. When painting, I generally use acrylics, playing with lines, marks and texture. I relish unexpected colour combinations, often drawing inspiration from weathered surfaces. When making, I love to dismantle and arrange, being drawn to lines, grids and the spaces between things. I’m especially keen on old bits of tools and machines, fastenings, china and glass. Things made with tiny screws, metal and wood which can be endlessly repaired are my favourites as they have embedded authenticity and marks of service.
My background in Occupational Therapy involved breaking down human challenges into manageable parts. This has served me well in my art career, enabling me to facilitate art projects for people with disability and communication challenges. I've exhibited locally and nationally, with work on public display in the North East and held in private collections across the uk and abroad.

OPEN STUDIO
Sunday 14 June 2026
You're welcome to come along to my garden studio in Acklington, Northumberland on Sunday June 14th, 2-5pm where I will be showing my new collection 'Glimmers'. I'm also hosting 3 other creative folk, Linda Willcox, Sally Howarth and Lou Thomas, who will be setting up in the house with paintings, jewellery and handknit cushions.
Our house is opposite the village hall and there are 2 holly trees in the front garden shaped like the 2 local water towers so you can't miss us! In addition to the four of us, we hope to be joined by the striking blue mannequins of local artist Sally Howarth.
