This work leans more towards the movement of the pigment and the manipulation of the suspended pigment atop the paper. Responding to colour and the medium itself!
It’s about not making that perfect mark too soon in the painting, making the background translucent to feature that perfect mark... I like to refer to artwork painted with natural Inks and Watercolour as “living works of art.” Translating places into pigments, into works of art that hold a place within them!
