Monarch butterflies are endangered treasures that fly through the Davis mountains in summer, feasting on milkweed while enroute to wintering in Mexico. This flighty snowbird framed herself in foliage, then lingered long enough for us to admire her intricate wings.
Done on archival Aquabord, this painting has been varnished with an archival matte coating to protect the rich colors. It does not need to be under glass, and is suitable for display on a table easel or hanging.
