Wild Rose Pass is an iconic view anyone who visits the Davis Mountains of Far West Texas via that route takes home with them. I painted the pass and surrounding peaks in their summer finery, changing the narrow paved road of today back to the wagon route known to early travelers. The original pass cut a lower trail through the mountains along a narrow creek, until someone tired of muddy wheels moved it uphill to its present day location.
