This piece was painted from a small, tucked away, boat launch in Madison. This is my husband's secret fishing spots. He sets up his fishing poles and gear while I set up my easel to paint. The tide was coming in so we had to keep backing up or we would have been ankle deep in water. The sunset was beautiful that night and I could have painted five different paintings as the light and clouds were ever changing and shifting.
The view is of Grass Island in Guilford. The well known - Red Shack is in the lower left of the painting. Right behind the shack is the Guilford Harbor and Marina.
