Tibrogargan, the father mountain calls on his son Coorawin to aid his pregnant mother Beerwah to come to his side as sea waters rise. His defiant son is hit on the head with a nulla nulla for disobedience and his neck is broken. The streams surrounding the mountains are said to be the tears of the family.
Tibrogargan the father mountain is a legend of the Gubbi Gubbi people of South East Queensland - he is one of the 25 million year old remnants of volcanoes that make up the Glass House Mountains. His face can be clearly seen on the east side of the mountain
