ABOUT THE ARTWORK
New Mexico sky next to the Very Large Array — made for Beneath a Paper Moon. The Very Large Array is a centimeter-wavelength radio astronomy observatory in the southwestern United States. It lies in central New Mexico on the Plains of San Agustin, between the towns of Magdalena and Datil.
Beneath a Paper Moon is an ongoing photography and writing project that addresses unresolved tensions within America’s storytelling tradition. The project looks at a variety of regional stories, considering how storylines evolve across the past, present, and future.
- Subject Matter: Clouds over a plain in New Mexico near the Very Large Array.
- Created: May 2018
