Artist working in photography and collage, collapsing past, present, and future while probing how technology mediates reality and fiction.
MessagePhotographed inside the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah, Analog Astronaut #2 is part of the series Remembering the Future. At this Mars analog site, scientists and researchers rely on fiction and role play to test scenarios for future space travel. In this image, an analog astronaut enacts an injury drill, collapsing the boundary between science and speculative storytelling as she rehearses survival on an imagined Mars.
