Artist working in photography and collage, collapsing past, present, and future while probing how technology mediates reality and fiction.
MessageThis diptych combines photographs made at the Mars Desert Research Station near Hanksville, Utah — a Mars analog site on Earth — with handmade collage interventions. In the second frame, sections of the Utah landscape are cut away to reveal the actual Martian surface, photographed by NASA rovers and sourced from the public domain archive. Each diptych is a unique, one-of-a-kind set and is not editioned further at this size.
- Subject Matter: Analog astronauts and collaged landscapes from the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah, combined with rover images of the Martian surface.
