This piece was created with a photo of a dirty snowbank in a parking lot. My goal was to take a simple, unimpressive image and give it power. In this case, the dirty snow took on a power of its own and things got complicated. This artwork was created by torch fusing clear encaustic medium, white encaustic paint, oil pastels, then adding a digitally edited photo of a melting snowbank in late February.
