A series of 6"x6" 3D printed 'waves' on hand colored yupo paper mounted on board.
The Waves series is part of my ongoing Ocean Bodies work, which explores the relationship between the human body, the ocean, and ecological change. In these works, abstract 3D-printed wave forms made from PLA bio-filament are adhered to printed and dyed Yupo paper on canvas or board. The series brings digital fabrication into contact with hand printing, dye, and drawing processes, creating layered surfaces that reference water, movement, and environmental systems. These small reliefs function as studies of oceanic patterns and energy.
