Rosetta is a life-size half figure, as if standing in water, created by collaging hand drawings—digitally printed onto kozo paper—onto a 3D printed form. Inspired by ancient stele and the Rosetta Stone, the figure invites viewers to decipher meaning not through language, but through the body’s entanglement with the natural world. The patterns are drawn from coastal forms—nets, waves, seaweed—and inscribed like a map across the figure’s skin. Rosetta explores the body as both medium and empath—shaped by and responsive to the more-than-human world. She stands as a testament to permeability: between body and ocean, psyche and earth, grief and resilience.
