Pink skies are a way of life in the mountains, especially at the end of summer. This piece is an encaustic wax monotype on Japanese rice paper, framed in a simple black wooden frame measuring 9.5 x 11.5 inches.

My intention is to recreate the tranquil mountain landscape with pastel skies and the lavender peaks that often occur at sunrise. This piece captures the stillness of nature at dawn, blending abstract and impressionistic elements to create a peaceful, expansive atmosphere.
