When you are surrounded by the mountains on a regular basis, they become companions. You develop "friendships" with certain mountains and get to know their moods and habits. Just like any relationship, it's important to practice respect and forgiveness and to love them. When you spend time in any relationship like this, it's inevitable that the reflections of love and respect and forgiveness come back to oneself. Alpine Reflections tells the story of my learning to love myself.
