Keren'Or is a multidisciplinary artist working across visual art, choreography, performance, photography, writing, and video. Her practice explores the body as an active site of perception, embodiment, and knowledge production.
Her work is rooted in somatic research and movement-based practices, engaging anatomy as a living structure for composition and artistic inquiry.
She is a Certified Rolfer®, Pilates and Garuda® instructor, and trained in a wide range of somatic approaches including Contact Improvisation, Bartenieff Fundamentals, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, Continuum Movement, and Body-Mind Centering®.
Her artistic development has been shaped by training and collaboration with Blandine Calais-Germain. Her approach to movement analysis is informed by Hubert Godard, and her work in visual theory draws on Georges Didi-Huberman.
She currently collaborates with Russell Maliphant on interdisciplinary projects involving performance, research, teaching, and creation.
Statement
I consider the body as a field of forces, a space of thought in motion where perception, memory, and imagination are constantly recomposed.
My work does not aim to represent the body, but to activate its states: imbalances, suspensions, curves, gravitational tensions, and instabilities. It is within these micro-variations that a form of sensory intelligence emerges.
Utopia is not, for me, a projection outside of reality, but an active practice of reality itself. It is an ethical commitment: to sustain zones of nuance, desire, and transformation in the face of systems that reduce, accelerate, and control.
Somatic practices form the foundation of this research. They open a space in which the body becomes both an instrument of knowledge and a site of resistance.
Within this field, I develop hybrid works — installations, performances, writings, images, immersive environments — where forms are not fixed but traversed by flows of perception.
To create is therefore to construct spaces of apparition: places where the sensible regains its power of transformation.
