The name of this piece comes from the Cherokee word for Chicken: Tsitaga (Chee-tah-gah). These framed abstract, semi-mandala piece were created using an interesting focal point - in this case a hand blown glass rooster I found at Beadology in Iowa City, IA. I often find these beautiful pieces that don't really lend themselves well to use in a skull design, and I have a pile of these vintage frames that I got from a neighbor friend. I had fun with color and design on this piece. It is mounted on genuine cowhide leather.
