The rose image in this piece is actually woven into the tablecloth fabric itself. I highlighted it with a variety of embroidery stitches and beads. The creation of this body of work evoked the poem that I stitched onto this piece:

A ghost hand smooths
Cloth over wood
A rose pricked red
Domestic greening
The silent bouquet
