Swirls Around

The four paintings in my Swirls Series illustrate the daily lives of the people (those twisting, streaming swirls) living in the rigid, gridded land of New York City.

Swirls Around illustrates a throng of commuters of all shapes and sizes. As they hear the train approaching, they propel themselves toward the platform and onto the crowded subway car.
