Swirls Across

The four paintings in my Swirls Series illustrate the daily lives of the people (those twisting, streaming swirls) living in the rigid, gridded land of New York City.

Swirls Across illustrates what happens when a group of pedestrians doesn’t wait for a green light and walk through oncoming traffic instead. Don’t all the cars, taxis, and buses look perturbed to be bumped out of their grid?!
