This round panel is part of my Exoplanet Series, and it carries a quiet nod to the work of Gregory Amenoff—an artist whose organic forms and spiritual geometry I’ve always admired. I don’t often paint large, simplified shapes, but the pod at the center of this piece felt like the closest I’ve come so far. It appeared as a seed, a vessel of potential, vibrant with color and possibility.
While imagining other worlds, I can’t help but think about our own. Earth is in constant turmoil, and though the search for exoplanets fascinates me, I don’t believe we’ll find another home—at least not in my lifetime. What we can do is seed the possibility of caring for the planet we already have, reinvigorating it, and giving Mother Earth what she needs to keep growing.
This seed is throbbing.
