RBG, or Ruth Bader Ginsburg, was an American jurist and Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court who became a hero for her lifelong dedication to fighting for gender equality and civil rights.
Ginsburg was appointed to the Supreme Court in 1993 and became known for her advocacy of women's rights and her staunch defense of civil liberties. She was a key figure in several landmark cases, including United States v. Virginia, which struck down the Virginia Military Institute's male-only admissions policy, and Ledbetter v. Goodyear, which expanded the ability of workers to file claims of pay discrimination.
