The Grizzly emerges from the fog in early morning light to the bank of a frozen pond. The bear can smell a frozen carcass below the depths of ice. He wants this prize for himself and is wary of others who might try to challenge the possession of this meal. In the creation of 'Wary Grizzly', I built up many layers of transparent watercolor creating the powerful beast of bear. Large claws distinguish the power of this predator.
