The Saddle-billed Stork hunts in the wetlands and water areas of Africa. The distinguishing bright yellow ‘saddle’ adorns its colorful and large bill. This magnificent bird stands at nearly 5 feet tall with a wingspan of 7-9 feet. This female has yellow eyes and is slightly smaller than the male with brown eyes. The bird is silent (mute) due to a lack of syrinx (vocal cord) they clack bills to communicate at the nest site. I have portrayed this magnificent bird hunting in a wetland . One of the many creatures that deserve our conservation efforts.
