AtsaBiyaazh lives with her parents within the Navajo Nation. This portrait was painted from a photo her family had taken by a local Dinè photographer. The hummingbird is seen as the messenger from ancestors who have gone before us into the spiritual realm. We welcome their appearance and honor their memory.
